Looks like this little fellow should have some racoon ancestors.  He is actually a pizote.  They come out of the forest to beg food.  It was raining like crazy when I got out of the car.  My companion fed this guy hard candy while I took pictures.  I'm sure the environmentalists would be thrilled.  Anyway... I later (excitedly) told everyone I saw a tilapia on the road.  Tilapias are fish.  Sigh... My attempts at  learning Spanish have provided much amusement to many Ticos!
